Part 2: Elementary School (Pre-K – 2nd Grade)

In the early years of a child’s education, the Family & School Time Capsule Project lays a solid foundation for personal growth. Through the annual exchange of letters between children and their families, young students are introduced to their heritage and encouraged to dream big. This simple yet profound tradition helps establish strong family bonds and instills a sense of purpose that will guide students throughout their academic journey.

Implementation: When enrolling a child in Pre-K, parents receive an invitation to participate in the Time Capsule Project. Each family member is encouraged to write an annual letter, which includes personal stories and dreams for the child’s future. These letters are read to the child, sparking conversations about family roots and life goals.

Parental Involvement: Parents and grandparents should actively engage in this tradition, helping the child understand the importance of their heritage and encouraging a future-oriented mindset. Letters are collected, stored in a secure envelope, and handed over to the school’s Time Capsule Postmaster for safekeeping.
