Part 4: High School (12th Grade)

In the final year of high school, the Family & School Time Capsule Project shifts focus to long-term aspirations. Seniors and their families write letters envisioning the next ten years, creating a powerful narrative that will be revisited at their 10-year reunion. This milestone not only marks the culmination of a longstanding tradition but also offers students a unique opportunity to reflect on how far they’ve come and where they’re headed.

Focus on the Future: In 12th grade, the focus shifts to long-term goals. Letters written this year should discuss dreams for the student 10 years into the future, along with a family history story. These letters are stored in the Time Capsule Vault until the student’s 10-year reunion.

Reunion and Reflection: At their 10-year reunion, students receive these letters, providing a powerful reflection on their past dreams and current achievements. This process underscores the importance of long-term planning and the value of family support throughout life.
